Wildlife
Watersedge is right in the middle of Europe’s largest area of reed beds. From the the house you’ll be able to see Marsh Harriers, Barn Owls, King Fishers, Muntjac Deer, Chinese Water Deer, Swallowtail Butterflies and lots else too numerous to mention. We even have Otters that visit our boathouse, but you’ll be lucky to spot one.
Just round the corner Norfolk Wildlife Trust have a visitors centre and offer guided walks and boat trips.
A short drive away (4mls) at Waxham and Horsey beaches you can observe a large colony of Grey Seals.
Things to do
The Norfolk Broads offer numerous attractions and activities.
Great local beaches at Sea Palling and Waxham. Lots of countryside for walks and cycling. Norwich is 12 miles away with its castle, cathedral, theatres and lots else. Great Yarmouth is 12 miles away with its beach, funfair, aquarium, theatre and lots else.
Locally Horsey Windpump has been restored by the National Trust and is open to visitors.
There are lots of sports available nearby including sailing, boating, canoeing, fishing, golf courses.

Our bookings run Friday to Friday, Mar-Oct complete weeks only, long weekends Nov-Feb available. Prices for 2024 range from £900 to £2000 per week. In low season short breaks are available from £450.
